  • GFP–Tub1-expressing strains were imaged every 10 sec, and lengths of half spindles were measured at each time point after the spindles broke. Recovery events were scored each time a half spindle switched from shrinking to growing. Shrinkage rates were calculated from the slope of the half-spindle lengths when plotted vs. time and reported as mean (±SEM). P-values were determined by a model I analysis of variance test when the wild-type shrinkage rate was directly compared to the rates of mutants. *, strains that were compared to the hog1-as no drug/no DMSO control. **, strains that were compared to the she1-2D hog1-as no drug/no DMSO control.
