  • First instar larvae of the appropriate genotype were collected and examined throughout development. Genotypes are as follows: Cam7, y w; Camn339/Cam7. Ryr16 Cam7, y w; Camn339/Ryr16 Cam7. cn Cam7, y w; Camn339/cn Cam7. Ryrdef Cam7, y w; Camn339/Df(2R)H3E1 Cam7. Ca1DX7 Cam7, y w; Camn339/Caα1DX7Cam7. Ca1DAR66 Cam7, y w; Camn339/Ca1DAR66 Cam7. Cam+, y w; Camn339/+. For Ryr16 Cam7 and cn Cam7, five lines of each genotype were tested. For Ryrdef Cam7, four lines were tested.

  • a Animals that have well-formed pupal head structures but are unable to eclose.

  • b Non-eclosed animals with malformed pupal heads.
