  • The genes detailed are present in 19 of the chromosomal regions identified in the deficiency kit screen as indicated. Null or strong alleles of each candidate gene were tested with the ARMover and ARMunder stocks. Interactions with each are described qualitatively in the table. Note that for one region two interacting genes (shotgun and Egfr) were identified. Genes marked with “*” had interactions tested in the eye. For all modifiers, except nubbin and engrailed, interactions in the eye were qualitatively the same as those seen in the wing. These two genes do not interact with either eye phenotype. Specific alleles are described in materials and methods. NE indicates the absence of interaction.
