CORRIGENDA
In the article by M. ASHBURNER, S. MISRA, J. ROOTE, S. E. LEWIS, R. BLAZEJ, T. DAVIS, C. DOYLE, R. GALLE, R. GEORGE, N. HARRIS, G. HARTZELL, D. HARVEY, L. HONG, K. HOUSTON, R. HOSKINS, G. JOHNSON, C. MARTIN, A. MOSHREFI, M. PALAZZOLO, M. G. REESE, A. SPRADLING, G. TSANG, K. WAN, K. WHITELAW, B. KIMMEL, S. CELNIKER and G. M. RUBIN (GENETICS 153: 219) entitled "An exploration of the sequence of a 2.9-Mb region of the genome of Drosophila melanogaster: The Adh region," the complete yoyo element was described as new. yoyo was first described by J. H. WHALEN and T. A. GRIGLIATTI (1998, Mol. Gen. Genet. 260: 401409) as nomad. M. Ashburner apologizes for overlooking this paper. The name yoyo has priority, since it was previously used in FlyBase on the basis of the European Drosophila Genome Project's STS sequence 53B6S (EMBL accession no. Z70906).
