CORRIGENDA
In Yang, Shung-Jun, 1964 Numerical chromosome instbility in Nicotiana hybrids. I. Interplant variation among offspring of amphiploids. Genetics 50: 745756. (October).
The values in the columns headed "fractions of gametes affected" in Tables
4, 5 and 6 should be divided by 2 since only losses of A, but not
of a, from Aa gametes would affect observed segregation
rates. As an example, the first row of columns c, d, f and f' in Table
4 should read
, 0.0227, 0.0227 and 43.0:1, respectively. The resulting
segregation ratios (column f') would be increased. Except for allopolyploids
with completely preferential pairing (not the present cases) the corrections
would alter the ratios only slightly and do not affect the conclusions drawn
in the paper.
